Raja Afzal is a London-based figurative painter creating vivid, imagined worlds rooted in everyday human experience. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, he transforms ordinary moments, encounters and emotions into strange, playful and psychologically charged scenes.

His paintings combine bold colour, Fauvist and Expressionist influences with a raw, childlike approach to drawing. Figures, symbols and imagined spaces collide between realism and abstraction, creating scenes where memory, identity and the gaze remain open and unresolved.
